Location

These shrimp come from a variety of freshwater habitats, including rivers, lakes, and streams across Southeast Asia and other parts of the world. Each species within the mix thrives in slightly different water conditions, but all will appreciate stable and clean environments to ensure their health.

Diet

These shrimp are omnivores and will consume algae, biofilm, detritus, and leftover food in your tank. To keep them healthy and vibrant, supplement their diet with high quality shrimp pellets, algae wafers, and occasional vegetables like spinach or courgette.

Care

Mixed Live Shrimp are generally hardy but require stable water conditions. They thrive in temperatures between 22°C and 28°C, with a pH range of 6.5 to 7.5. Regular water changes and good filtration are important to maintain a healthy environment. Avoid medications containing copper as they are toxic to shrimp.

Habitat

To create a perfect habitat, use a soft substrate such as sand or fine gravel. Live plants, driftwood, and rocks offer surfaces for grazing and hiding. These shrimp prefer a low water current, so it’s best to use a gentle filtration system to mimic their natural habitat.

Breeding

Breeding Mixed Live Shrimp is possible in the right conditions. Each species in the mix will breed at different rates, but with proper care, females will carry their eggs until they hatch into tiny shrimp. These newly hatched shrimp will begin foraging for food immediately.

Shipping Information

We take care to ensure your order arrives in excellent condition and ready to settle into your aquarium. All orders are shipped with tracking, and the cut-off time for same-day dispatch is 4 pm.

Orders containing dry goods, shrimp, snails or plants are dispatched Monday to Friday via Royal Mail for fast, reliable delivery. Livestock, in particular live fish and invertebrates, are dispatched Monday to Wednesday only, using an approved overnight courier, to avoid weekend delays and ensure safe and timely delivery.

Track Your Order

You will receive a tracking number by email when we begin processing your order for shipping. The selected courier will provide updates on delivery only through their tracking page.

During colder weather, heat packs are added when needed. Livestock orders are carefully packed in insulated boxes to help maintain a stable temperature throughout transit.
