Purple Male Betta Fighting Fish

Purple Male Betta Fighting Fish is a stunning and unique variety of betta fish, known for its captivating lavender and purple hues and large, dramatic fins. Our purple betta for sale is a big ear betta, also called a dumbo betta, with larger than usual pectoral fins that add to its majestic appearance, making it a beautiful addition to any aquarium.

Location

Native to Southeast Asia, this purple betta thrives in warm, tropical environments found in slow flowing waters of Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. These areas offer the calm and stable conditions ideal for Betta fish.

Diet

Like most betta fish, this purple betta is carnivorous. Feed them high quality betta pellets, along with occasional live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia to provide a balanced diet.

Care

This Betta variety is relatively easy to care for, requiring water temperatures between 24 and 30°C. While peaceful with humans, males can be territorial with other males, so it’s best to house them individually or with compatible species in a well maintained tank.

Habitat

In the wild, bettas like this purple betta are typically found in shallow waters with plenty of plants and hiding spots. To replicate this environment in the aquarium, provide fine gravel, live plants, and gentle filtration, while ensuring the water temperature remains stable.

Breeding

Breeding this Betta variety is similar to other Betta fish. The male builds a bubble nest, and once the female lays eggs, the male guards and cares for the fry. A separate breeding tank is recommended to ensure successful hatching and fry growth.
