Albino Corydoras are peaceful, bottom dwelling freshwater fish known for their pale pinkish white bodies, red eyes and gentle nature. Our albino corydoras for sale grow to around 6 to 7cm, and these community friendly fish are a favourite for aquarists looking to add a calm and active cleaner to their tank.
Location
Originating from the river basins of South America, Albino Corydoras are bred variants of the common Corydoras aeneus. In the wild, they inhabit slow flowing waters with soft substrates and plenty of vegetation.
Diet
Omnivorous by nature, they feed on sinking pellets, algae wafers, and frozen or live foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp. Their diet should be varied to ensure optimal health and activity.
Care
Albino Corydoras prefer water temperatures between 22 and 26°C with stable, well oxygenated conditions. They thrive in groups of at least five and benefit from smooth substrate to prevent barbel injury.
Habitat
Aquariums with soft sand, plenty of hiding spots, and subdued lighting provide a suitable environment. These fish enjoy rooting around the bottom for leftover food, helping keep the tank clean.
Breeding
Breeding Albino Corydoras is possible in a calm tank with clean water and cooler temperature changes to stimulate spawning. The female lays eggs on glass or plants, and fry should be raised separately to improve survival rates.
